Water | Air
Without them, life simply would not exist.
J a l a refers to the element Water. It is directly connected with the second Chakra, the Svadhisthana Chakra. Located in the pelvic region of the body, where life is created, it is where passion, pleasure, emotion, feeling and connection live and thrive. It drives creativity and the start of new beginnings.
V a y u refers to the element Air. The fourth chakra, the Anahata Chakra, revolves around the heart region and is the home of love, warmth, generosity, compassion, genuine joy and deep bonds with other beings. In many spiritual traditions, love is recognized and praised as the ultimate healing force and connects us with everything in our surroundings.
Both elements fill spaces and move fluidly. They fill in and take the shape of whatever size or shape container is in its path, filling up crevices slowly and in the order that they appear- simply adapting to each space. Both can change its course of movement, whether the pressure system changes the direction the wind blows or a rip tide pulls water out to sea. Neither, however, fights the change.
Just as life is full of new experiences and sudden changes, we should strive to move like Jala and Vayu, Water and Air— fluidly, with deep love from Vayu and a burning passion from Jala, and trusting our ability to adapt to these new spaces.
